Respiratory Mask Fit Test

Some mine sites have identified chemical, environmental and airborne biohazards that are controlled through the use of respirator face masks.

Respiratory fit testing is mandatory on a number or work sites across Australia, WTCWA can provide this service to ensure that the respirators do provide the adequate seal on the wearers face.

A respirator mask fit test can help ensure that the highest respiratory protection levels are achieved through a properly sized and donned respirator. The PortaCount® respirator fit testing equipment measures real-time fit while the user simultaneously performs a series of moving, breathing and talking exercises designed to simulate the same movements made in the field. Passing a real-time quantitative respirator fit test proves that the face piece is sized and donned correctly.

WTCWA can provide a respiratory mask fit report to the individual and employing organisation and a respiratory mask fit report printed on a wallet size card.
