C6 Slewing Mobile Crane


Course Overview (Worksafe fee not included)

This face-to-face course provides students with the skills and knowledge to safely operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes). The course includes identifying weights of loads, conducting pre- start and post-start operational checks and mobilising loads.

On successful completion, students can apply for a high risk work licence or apply to have new classes added to their high risk work licence through WorkSafe WA.

2020 Course Dates

By the end of this course students will be able to:

  • Record and maintain information regarding crane operations

  • Identify and control hazards associated with operating a crane

  • Communicate effectively via two-way radio, hand signals, whistles and organisational


  • Determine the weight of a load to be lifted

  • Interpret the load chart

  • Load data into the crane computer

  • Conduct a lift using the slewing mobile crane.
